Intermediate 1 (A2 > A2+)

The intermediate courses are intended for people who already have a sound basic command of the Dutch language, and who would like to improve their language skills. The further you progress learning a language, the more time it takes to reach a higher level. The step from A2 to B1 is a big one. That is why this level has been split into two courses: intermediate 1 (A2+) and intermediate 2 (B1).

During this course you will expand your listening and speaking skills. The writing assignments are getting longer and more complex and we will go deeper into grammar, such as the order of words and the different verb forms. At the end of the course you can, for example, communicate about your living environment, nutrition, and personal matters. You will learn to write formal and informal letters that are needed for daily life.

All lessons are practical. You will learn all aspects of the Dutch language, such as vocabulary, reading, spelling, pronunciation and grammar, but the emphasis is mainly on speaking. This way, you can immediately put into practice what you have learnt.

Intermediate 1 regular

Group size	6 to 10 students per group
Payment	€745 (or 2 installments of €395) including teaching materials. The course fee can be paid in instalments.
Entry level	This course is for students with a middle- to upper level of education. You are proficient to language level A2. This will be assessed during an intake interview.
Course material	During this course we use the teaching method ‘Code+’ part 3. This method consists of a textbook and an online practice program. You will receive the course materials during the first lesson.
Self study	There will be homework each week. Preparation time for classes averages 5-7 hours per week.
Certification	At the end of the course you will receive a certificate of participation. Your progress and attendance will be evaluated during the course to determine your level of competence.

Intermediate 1 intensive
