Business Dutch

You live and work in the Netherlands, but the Dutch language is not your mother tongue. You do speak Dutch at work, but it remains difficult. Therefore, you would like to improve your business Dutch, so you can have confident conversations with your colleagues and do business in the Netherlands.

This course helps you to speak, app and email Dutch in a business environment, focusing on communication purpose, tone and nuance. We pay attention to language skills needed to communicate effectively and understandably at work such as: requesting, making a proposal, rejecting something, apologising and giving positive and negative feedback. We do many practical assignments so that you will learn to use the new skills right away. In addition, we pay attention to vocabulary, grammar and culture.

Course duration	10 weeks
Group size	6 to 10 students per group
Payment	€595 (or 2 installments of €320) including teaching materials. The course fee can be paid in instalments.
Entry level	This course is for students with a middle- to upper level of education. You are proficient to language level B1. This will be assessed during an intake interview.
Course material	During this course we use the teaching method ‘De Juiste Toon’. This method consists of a textbook and an online practice program. You will receive the course materials during the first lesson.
Self study	Outside of classes, there will be homework each week. Preparation time for classes averages 3-5 hours per week.
Certification	At the end of the course you will receive a certificate of participation. Your progress and attendance will be evaluated during the course to determine your level of competence.
